That's a mouthful! It just goes along with the weekend I just came off of. I spent my weekend in Northampton MA at Tangle U! Hopefully the first of many. The group was a manageable a size and I was able to connect with most of the attendees which adds to the fun and friends on facebook! There were many wonderful courses from color to mandala strings to meditation. All fabulous and extremely informative.
Mooka is such a fast tangle it was easy to complete two. I found that meditatively breathing before each tile slowed me down, relaxed my hand and helped me find my strokes more smoothly. I thank Meredith L. Yuhas, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Zentangle Teacher, for the wonderful reminder to meditate and the exercises she guided us through this weekend.
Such gorgeous lines! You must have a very steady hand!
ReplyDeleteNot as steady as they could be, but moving in the right direction. Thank you LeeAnn!
DeleteYour Mooka is what Mooka was meant to be. Lovely.
ReplyDeleteThank you Ann, that is really nice.
DeleteYour Mooka tiles are fantastic! I think everything I create is already better after this weekend. I'm glad you had a great time too. :-)
ReplyDeleteThis weekend was fabulous! I now practice my breathing actively before I draw. Seems t be helping. :)
DeleteNice work, I love your plump little tendrils, lovely compositions.
ReplyDeleteThank you Daniele!
DeleteGreat looking, graceful and elegant.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much.
DeleteI think your mooka is great, and now I see what I did wrong in my mookas, I love the way you made the stems thin, and the endings bold. Thats how I like mooka.
ReplyDeleteNothing is *wrong* in Zentangle. There are so many different Mookas it is always fun to see the differences.
DeleteBoth are very beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Anne!
DeleteBeautiful. Your shading is lovely :)
ReplyDeleteHelen, thanks for your kind comment. I wish I was as comfortable as you are with color. It is something I will probably always be striving for.
DeleteThis is how I love to see Mooka, so very subtle! (I'll give it a second try....) "Mooka in red" is super gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThank you Anneke. I was too thinking about giving it another go.
DeleteBeautiful mookas!, and I really love the way you've used circles and egg shapes to "fill" and shade. My favorite is the red on - it's awesome!
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue. I have learned from so many others. I hope you try these fills and others in yours.
DeleteDebra... I really don't like Mooka, but these make me want to keep trying! Really pretty.
