The tangle this week is by Alice Hendon which you can find
HERE. This is a great tangle to show the power of shading. I like-mono tangles so that is what I did, Before and after shading.
I have not tangled in a bit and you can tell by the shaky lines. I will get back on board soon.
Great idea to show the before and after shading … what a difference! Nicely done.
ReplyDeletewow. That's what makes this tangle so special...how shading can change it so much. Very good work!
ReplyDeleteI think I'm a group of one here, but I think this was a difficult tangle to draw well. Despite feeling shaky, you did such a good job with this challenge that I can even easily see the patterns in the unshaded tile.
ReplyDeleteSuch a difference before and after shading! It's almost a miracle ;-)
ReplyDeleteWow!!! Thanks for showing the difference.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful display of the effectiveness of Shading. Well done.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of "before and after"! The shading makes such a difference. Nice!
ReplyDeleteDebra, They both look great, I love the second one. Guess what, I haven't done too much tangling since Tangle U. Not enough hours in my days lately.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe the difference shading makes with this tangle? Haha! I love it! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteShading is like magic, isn´t it! Thank for sharing your wonderful examples!
ReplyDeleteI too find it difficult to draw the straight lines in perpendicular directions. Not sure it was "legal" but I chose to first draw the horizontal lines, then turn the piece 90 degrees and complete the "U" shape. By the way, your piece doesn't look shaky. I really like it.
ReplyDeleteLove the way the shading came out on this. Taking the two pictures really illustrates how a little shading can dramatically change a tile. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteWOW, to start with I thought it was two different tiles. It's amazing what the shading brought out in the tile, great work.
ReplyDeleteWhat a difference the shading makes on this tangle. You did an excellent job and thank you for showing the before and after. I actually thought that they were two different tiles also. Great job!
