Olympic Spirit, Zentangle Fashion

The 2012 Olympics will be played in London July 27- August 12 this year.  Rho Densmore challenged us to use the symbol of the olympics created by Pierre de Coubertin in 1984.  The five interlocking rings colored, blue, black, red, yellow, green, and white background are colors in which at least one appears every national flag at this time.

Thanks for the Challenge Rho!

  1. I'm so impressed how you got your circles that perfectly round ... I couldn't do that ...
    Great work!

    1. I should have put a disclaimer in my post. My secret weapon, because I love the look of a perfect circle is my safety compass. http://www.dickblick.com/products/safe-t-compass/ Now my secrets out.

  3. I haven't done this one yet, but I'll need a compass too. This is my first visit to your blog - love your Olympic rings and I'm very excited to know where in Maine you are located? I'm in Brewer and will be attending the next CZT seminar. I would be great to get together sometime.

  4. This is a lovely piece that shines in it's simplicity. I used your tangle UNME in my submissions - it has the same simple, light quality that this work has, very nice.

  11. Very nicely done. I enlarged it so I could see it really well. I like the tangle you chose for each ring.
