The weekly challenge this week is to use pea-nuckle created by Molly Hollibaugh. I created two tiles, mastered neither of them but I did venture onto some new ground. My first tile is white on black. The white gelly roll was a pleasure to use but it was a very different experience from the micron pen.
I used pea-nuckle along with a new tangle by Dianne Klabechek called "S"tuary, that just flowed out of her pen at the NUTZ meetup this weekend, and fescu.
I then experimented with a regular tile using my newly announced tangle UNME and pea-nuckle.
Two very original tiles. I like them both a lot. Cool one on black - I must try one sometime.
ReplyDeleteGreat tiles. The first one looks like lace. Beautiful work.
ReplyDeleteThe white on black is always so striking. It is easier to see mistakes so I hesitate. I see that you have no need for hesitation! Both of your pieces are lovely flowing works of art!
ReplyDeleteI really like both your tiles. The black tile I found really helpful for this challenge, but you are right, the white feels somewhat "goopy"! I like your new tangle. What is it short for? UN-ME? or U-NaME"? The top tile is so light in feeling and the lower more substantial.
ReplyDeleteBoth are fab! I really enjoy your white on black version 1 with Diane K's new tangle!
ReplyDeleteI love the black on white!! And the Pea-Nuckle really works perfectly with S-tuary. Love your UNME tile, too--nicely done!
ReplyDeleteBoth tiles are great. The white on black gives a very ethereal feeling.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous touch with the white pen!
ReplyDeleteOMGosh! I love the depth of the bottom one. Talk about op art! As a former fellow Mainer (from up in The County doncha know!, I salute you!
ReplyDeleteThey are both lovely! You did great. And I just discovered your new tangle Unme, and I'm trying it out; and I love the story of how it was named. Thanks for sharing it with us.
