Weekly Challenge #60: DuoTangle v.III "Cirquital/Munchin"
I am not quite sure how I feel about the finished product but I do know that while doing this tangle I was hardly aware of breathing never mind much else. Thank you Diva for the challenge and the experience.

Having the time of my life!
Rick and Maria were talking to us today about how this CZT class could not really be taught "on line" because it is the whole experience of being with like minded people, sharing stories of how we came across Zentangle, and meeting so many new people form around the world. Not to mention that Rick and Maria are just a hoot together. They finish each others sentences, stories, and tangles.
Here I am this morning having my picture in fornt of the welcome sign.
Another full day tomorrow, can't wait!

Getting Ready!
I am becoming more and more excited about attending the Zentangle® CZT seminar this week in Providence Rhode Island, Feb 21 - 24. To get ready I thought I would tackle some tangles I have yet to do and practice those I have not done in a bit. I do not have Carol Ohl's beautiful Tangle a day Calendar but, I do have an old Paper Source Great Big Wall Calendar on hand and it seems to do the trick.

This weeks challenge from Laura Harms comes from guest CZT Diana Hirsch. This weekend the students at Penn State University will take part in a dance Marathon called THON to raise money for pediatric cancer. It is an annual event that benefits The Four Diamonds Fund at Penn State Hershey Children’s Hospital.
The Four Diamonds Fund was started by Charles and Irma Millard after their son, Christopher, lost his 3 year battle with cancer in 1972. Symbolic of the traits Christopher felt were needed to defeat cancer, he wrote a story in which the knight Sir Millard overcomes obstacles to achieve the four diamonds of Courage, Wisdom, Honesty and Strength.
Having recently lost my own son to cancer I know the courage and strength that is needed, for the patient and for the family/friends supporting the patient, to enable them to go on another day. This is a organization that has paid medical expenses for more than 2000 families and also funds innovative research which helps those families find some relief and hope for others that help may be found.
Our tangle this week is the four diamonds symbol.
I have incorporated the tangle pattern chainging created by Zentangle® founders Rick Roberts and Maria Thomas that reminds me of the necklace my son wore for most of his years and I continue to wear on my wrist in honor of him.

Weekly Challange #57 Use My Tangle
This week we are using a tangle created by Tricia Faraone, Sanibelle. I will need more practice but this is my first attempt. It has an oceany feel to it so I paired it with squid. It may be that from where I am sitting I am looking at the Atlantic Ocean. This is a beautiful spot on Pemaquid Peninsula in Maine.
I will give this tangle more time to develop for me but this is my contribution for the week.
Enjoy your view!
